Covid–19 Antibodies (test to see if you have had covid–19)
We have lab access for covid–19 antibodies, this is a blood test that allows you to see if you have had previous exposure and infection.
Unfortunately there is no current evidence that antibodies will protect you in the future from covid–19. They do not clarify if you currently have coronavirus at present but they are helpful if you are anxious to know if you have had covid–19 in the past.
This may influence travel and occupational decisions. We are also aware some people simply wish to know if they have had covid –19 before swab testing was introduced or if they had an asymptomatic infection.
